POSITION TITLE: Financial and Operational Business Advisor

POSITION DUTIES: Provide an analysis of the existing financial and operational system. Interpret and transform operational and financial data into an analysis which will provide consultation and support to the management. Establish system controls for new financial and operational systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems. Based on financial data analysis identify areas where business can reduce tax, improve efficiencies and increase profit, and make recommendations to management. Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to improved financial systems and data, and/or operations. Ensure that implementation is successful and strategic plan is effective. Monitor monthly close process, prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis and ensure all the systems aligned and effective. Review and finalize annual year-end closing information provided to tax accountants. Engage regularly with clients and maintain strong relationships. This position does not include supervisory duties. Less than 50% traveling to unanticipated clients’ site is required. 

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a closely-related field of concentration plus 2 years of experience in job offered or Business Advisor, Project Manager and Managing Director in Financial and business Operations, Managing Director - related occupation.  Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience. 

Education or Experience must include one (1) year in the following:

  1. Built operational processes and training materials for the employees.

  2. Develop and implement business infrastructure between different departments using various restaurant software: Micros, Iiko and Square.

  3. Define and optimize pricing strategy.

  4. Analyze financial data provided by an in-house bookkeeper.

  5. Review financial statements for tax preparation.

  6. Prepare budgets and forecasts on quarterly/monthly basis.

  7. Initiate various quality programs: Generating more than 50% in repeat business.

  8. Manage growth and scaled operations on the business.

  9. Analyze financial health of the business by calculation various ratios: Cost-To-Sale ratio.

  10. Aggregate supplier and vendor relationships.

 

In addition, Education or Experience must include 6 months in the following:

  1. Bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online, including set-up and management of automated sync between third-party source systems and QBO.

  2. Research on the US Tax regulations. 

  3. QuickBooks Online Certification
